SP TAKEGAWA's tensioner arm is precisely machined from highly strong extra super duralumin material, increasing the thickness to increase the strength of the arm body and further increasing the contact area to the push rod. This reduces the possibility of caving in or breaking the rubber at the tip of the push rod, greatly extending the life of the push rod.
The arm body has an oil hole to lubricate the moving parts with oil. The arm surface is hard anodized. Cam chain tensioner roller included
Since the stock tensioner arm is molded from plate material, the contact area with the push rod is small, and the rubber at the tip of the push rod collapses into the shape of the plate thickness. Also, if used for a long time with a high-power engine, the stock tensioner arm may become severely deformed and the push rod head may be damaged. In this case, the proper tension will not be applied to the cam chain, which may cause engine trouble.
SP TAKEGAWA's tensioner arm is precisely machined from highly strong extra super duralumin material, increasing the thickness to increase the strength of the arm body and further increasing the contact area to the push rod. This not only strengthens the tensioner arm, but also reduces the possibility of caving in or breaking the rubber at the tip of the push rod, greatly extending the life of the push rod. Additionally, an oil hole is provided in the arm body to lubricate the moving parts with oil.
If the cam chain tensioner push rod head is worn or damaged, replace it with a new genuine part. Please note that hard reinforced push rod heads sold by other companies should not be used together as they will place a high load on the cam chain.
L. Crankcase cover gasket is required separately. Special tools such as rotor holder and flywheel puller are required for installation.
